Flight Information

Some cities in Europe and America have direct flights to the Azores. Direct flights from mainland Portugal are available to Pico, Faial, Terceira, São Miguel, and Santa Maria.

All these islands have flights to São Jorge through SATA, the Azores airline.

Boat Connections to Velas Port

Daily boat connections from Pico and Faial (via Atlanticoline) to Velas port, the nearest port to Cabanas da Viscondessa in São Jorge.

During the summer, there are boat connections from Terceira and Graciosa to São Jorge.

Transportation Options on São Jorge

During your stay, consider hiring a taxi, a tourist driver, or renting a car for easy mobility on the island. Public transportation on the island is limited. We can provide airport or port transfers to and from Velas or Calheta villages.
